We finally used a wrench to remove the pen tip (!!), of course, this would cause scratches on the plastic. What's even more confusing is that the arrow symbols for opening/closing on the pen are opposite. You must turn to the 'on' direction to unscrew the tip. On the other hand, the mattress looks pretty good. The color complements the water perfectly. I like the various writing tools that come with it. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase.

    We bought this for our 2-year-old child because he likes drawing, but he also enjoys drawing on the floor. The mat is great because once it dries, they have a brand new blank canvas to draw on again. The included fountain pen and marker pen are great, but some of them may leak water. I don't like the fact that the mat is not easy to wash. Our current appearance has brown water stains because it was stepped on with shoes and then drawn with a water pen.
