    I use this iron to apply an iron on the patch. The temperature of the iron is not enough to melt the patch material. I tried the wet finger "hissing sound" test, and it would not become hot enough and could not do this. The only thing that may be useful is to teach you 2 -year -old children to iron without being burned.
