    Thus far, I have only tried this on myself. I wouldn't push the vibrate setting higher level 1, since it is rather intense. Even though I knew I was testing it, the beep setting startled the heck out of me, so I'd also turn that one down. I have no feeling at all with shock settings 1C5. Seven is probably the one I'll choose in any case, since six is hardly there. I find it annoying because if you scroll through the shock levels the incorrect way, the maximum setting, 99, is selected. I was in for a surprise when I didn't pay close attention and assumed it was on level 2, even though the levels are shown on the screen. It seemed like I smacked my elbow, and my arm gave an uncontrollable shock. I'm not sure whether pain is the right word to describe it. Use that one if you had a large dog that was sprinting toward a vehicle or a busy roadway; it would halt him in his tracks.

Which helps to explain why, after sitting on the table close to one other, our remote and the collar have these strange burn marks.     Love that I can adjust the settings and lock it when not in use. I chose to go back to a shock collar for my 2-year-old lab since he began to regress in his training. The collar works really well! All I've had to do to attract his attention is utilize sound and vibration, which stops him in his tracks. Though not too large, the collar looks to be fairly sturdy. Before placing your purchase, make sure to measure your dog's neck. I still had to trim off 6 inches of the collar even with the right dimensions, so be sure to allow enough slack in case the collar loosens up and has to be fixed.

    After misplacing the remote from my last e-collar, I was eager to test this one. I was even more thrilled to see that the buzzer option had different settings. Regretfully, this collar's level one beep is quite loud. Even after a day, my dog would tremble and hide his tail between his legs at the noise. It made me jump, and the other settings were merely either longer or numerous beeps (I actually found level 8 the highest, was the quietest noise). The dog has free run, therefore I also keep the remote in my pocket. During the day, I unintentionally shocked the dog twice. The remote's settings alternate between beeping, vibrating, and shocking. I have two products that sometimes work and sometimes my dog won't react, but he knows it's on psychologically, so it sort of works. At first, they worked fantastic, but I believe they've become used to it. I wouldn't suggest them to owners of nervous dogs, and I'm certainly not going back to doing it on my own. If I have to repeat myself, I utilize the beep sound more often than the vibrate.

    This is a new product that I used for my dog, and he now responds to commands and other things much better than he did before. I no longer even need to put it on him for him to listen. The product is beneficial in a few ways. Our dog reacted effectively to the considerable quantity of sound tones. Additionally, the vibrating worked well to halt our dog when we wanted to stress that he was off-leash. The main drawback is that the remote receiver stopped working after a month of regular usage. If not, we believed we had a winner.

    Thought the product was easy to use, the construction of the collar itself didn't appeal to me. It looked wacky since it had two independent adjustable straps, and I think a simpler neck strap would have made it seem better. We would buy the product again if that didn't happen, but because of the strange setup and collar, we sent it back and chose to choose a another one. If the design is altered, the product can get a 10/10 rating.

    Since my pet was a bad listener, I opposed shock collars. The buzzing and beeping gave me this. We're beginning to hear the little buzz and beeps that I utilize. My dog is working, but perhaps he will continue to learn and not need it as much. I have a German Shepherd that weighs more over 100 pounds. Using the vibrate, he stops. I've seldom ever needed to use shock. He has been trained to come to me and halt on the beep. This has been a fantastic supplement to his training, and we're getting there.

The jug bow website is sold out of replacement cords, and other magnetic chargers don't seem to work either.     Our dog weighs around four pounds. It's a shih tzu. He's always been amazing, but as of late, the family isn't getting any sleep since he won't stop complaining. After reading the RAVE product reviews, I made the decision to try it. I meticulously followed the training instructions, providing a verbal alert, a buzzer, a vibration, and finally a shock. I began on shock setting five because I was TERRIFIED that the item would be far too powerful and damage the tiny baby. The verbal warning does not stop him from whining; the vibration did not stop him from whining; the beep sound just made him moan more loudly; and the shockwhich he did not even noticedid not register with him. I removed the collar and used my hand to test it. Setting 5 might give you the momentary impression that something is being felt, similar to when someone lightly electrifies a feather and drags it over your hand. You could get a little jolt from setting 20, similar to a 9-volt shock on your tongue, but different. Setting 99 felt like having your hand squeezed by a newborn. We'll keep playing with it, and if I figure it out, use it incorrectly, or find that it's broken, I'll update my review. I made sure it was completely charged. However, if it doesn't even make a dent in the smallest dog I've ever had, it won't be able to discourage any dog that isn't a total pushover.

    I'm back on February 28 to edit my review. Customer service was responsive after I posted my review, offering me a choice between a new collar and a full refund. I think this is excellent customer service, and I did request a new collar, which is currently in working order. I appreciate the company's willingness to make things right, and I hope this collar holds up. If not, I'll be back for another edit!

    Since this is a training and conditioning tool for dogs, it ought to be more durable and not break quickly after only one usage. The first time I placed it on my dog, he was able to rip off the collar and plastic snaps and then eat up the machine section as well.

    This was my sixth e-collar that I had bought in less than three years, and like the others, it blew up and would not turn on even though it said it was fully charged. I've had this problem with three of the six collars (all from different manufacturers), proving that the electronics in these low-cost Chinese collars are obviously fragile and malfunctioning. Additionally, they consistently quit when the return window closes. This one was only good for six weeks (bought on January 4, died on February 18). I walk my dog off leash in the woods every day for at least an hour, and I use these collars for that purpose. Like all the others, this one functions well for a time before passing away. Buyers take caution. You pay for what you get. I suppose I'll give up at last and get a sturdy one for $200 to $300. *sigh*

    You can alter the settings WAY TOO EASILY, and the adjustment toggles between shock, vibration, and sound too quickly! The shock intensity may be adjusted from 1 to 99 with a little twist. I believe the 99 would be too severe since my kid tested the collar on his leg and said that it felt like needles poking him after trying it on for 15 minutes. I wish there was a lock-in level where you had to dial and push it in simultaneously to adjust it. Because the beep and vibration may be utilized without the shock and because I think it's partially effective, I did give it three stars. It's barely been a week, so more time will tell. It hasn't needed to be charged yet. I also like how reflecting it is.

Nope, it was only functioning when it seemed to. roughly. After six weeks, the collar completely stopped functioning. almost making the return deadline. Excellent idea that was a complete failure.

My dog is only intrigued about it, but the beeping and vibration are wonderful if you can generate a reaction from those two.

The device has a great range, loud beeps with different options, powerful and customizable vibration, and working shock that may range from 1 to 99. In terms of addressing behavioral problems, it was performing just as you could have expected. In the beginning, just a few shocks were required. But now that one of the sides has broken where the collar attaches to the gadget, it is worthless to us. I would repurchase the collar if it weren't for the manner it connected to the gadget.

    My dog listened at first, especially to the vibration (even at low levels), then started to completely ignore it; he quit responding to both the vibrate and shock, even though I kept increasing the intensity. I only used the tone once, and it hurt my ears on the lowest setting, so I can only imagine how it felt for him. I used this collar to get my dog's attention when he was fixated on something. He already knows verbal commands, but sometimes acts like he doesn't hear me. I started at level 2 and never went above level 30, with a boost of 40.

    I tested the shock on myself up to level 4, and I could hardly feel anything at all at level 2. Level 3 felt like being shocked when you walked over carpet and touched a doorknob. Level 4 was uncomfortable but not painful, and there was no aftereffect.

    The collar functioned as intended as long as it was against my dog's skin. However, after my dog played for about ten minutes, it became loose and needed to be retightened. This happened repeatedly because the adjustment pieces aren't tight enough to keep the straps in place. I tried using small hair elastics on the loose ends to make it last an hour, but my dog would rip the elastics and cause the straps to become loose once more.

    Even on the maximum level, my dogs don't perceive the shock, despite the beeping being quite loud on the lowest setting and a powerful vibration. I used the provided tester to test the shock, and it works. The shock is too mild for them to perceive, even though I fitted the larger prongs and adjusted the collar as I would with their invisible fence collars. This isn't what you're looking for if you want anything that shocks like an invisible fence collar. However, this collar's other functions function really well.

I like that you dont need to use the shock feature and can remove the probes. I would prefer, however, the ability to completely disable the shock (set to zero), so that it isnt inadvertently triggered. Will update should my experience change.

The worst drawback is that the collar becomes loose and falls off if my dog scratches it, making the device worthless. It's a never-ending cycle of put on and take off. When the collar is adjusted smaller, there are no rubber portions keeping the hanging sections of the collar in place. If the manufacturer could provide me with some kind of rubber or plastic parts, I would really appreciate it since it would prevent the extra collar from hanging down. Perhaps it will assist with the frequent falling off and loosening.

I'm starting to become tired of having to deal with inexpensive components. This item startled my dog unintentionally. I perplexed him. If it's in your jacket pocket, you could be changing the settings as you can't hold it and depend on the lock function. Even the warning buzzer suggested that the device was malfunctioning. I don't really use that phrase. Buyer beware.

I don't think it's really worth returning, but it claims it was closed out on March 9. I just received a different one that I purchased, and this one is very great. It disappoints me much that I am not eligible for a refund. It is incorrect. I've now purchased four shock collars, and I've spent a lot of money on them. Both the collar and the controller feel like cheap plastic components (at forty bucks, I can't really complain too much). I mistakenly believed my dog to be a tank, but it ended up breaking down. Every light turns on, and the collar seems to be functional; the controller is not receiving any input. 0/10: I was attempting to save costs before having to shell out more than $200 for a quality collar, but it seems that's where I'm going.

    My two-year-old mini Australian Shepherd exhibits severe aggressive behavior toward other dogs and even strangers. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to teach him to stop being reactive in any way. I was so sick of his conduct that I eventually made the decision to give this E-Collar a try. After wearing this collar for a week, he stopped being reactive altogether! He used to react strongly to dogs, but now days he walks right past them and is at ease with people stroking him. I removed the shock prongs so I would never accidentally shock him, and now all I have to do is use vibration or sound to discipline him. I usually make sure I'm ready for our walks by leaving this collar on him and tying the remote to his leash. I adore this collar. Long-lasting battery life is another benefit. Everything is going well so far! Strongly recommended!

The collar has been a godsend in discouraging bad behaviors like digging, barking, and approaching areas we don't want him to go. Since he doesn't realize the beep or vibration is coming from us, he associates the behavior we're trying to discourage with the negative consequence. We taped the cover of a Venus razor over the shock buttons, to make sure we never unintentionally press those buttons.

If it weren't for the many coyotes in the vicinity, I would shut the door and return to sleep. A perimeter collar is accustomed to her. I just wear it on her when I need a little freshen. When she's finished potty training and begins chasing bugs and other things, I can put this collar on her and use the beep feature to summon her. She returns immediately! I never removed the rubber covers from the collar's probes since I didn't want to unintentionally shock her. Had she been difficult to train, they would have fallen off! But no requirement!

He was a pretty hairy dog, so we shaved the area around his neck line after we started using him around six weeks ago. Nothing happened even after we switched the prongs for the longer ones. We maintained it since the sound and vibrations worked, and while he first reacted to them, I believe that he no longer does because it hurts.

Additionally, the directions seem to be simple. I'm excited to give this a shot. Our second dog, Bartok, has never been left alone, but our elder dog, Layla, was put to sleep a few weeks ago. When we were gone from town, he would wail and growl for hours at a time, frightening our neighbors. I'm hoping that this will work well for everyone. I'm grateful. :)

    The introduction of technology for these collars makes me happy. Twenty years ago, one that was twice as huge, four times heavier, and had a restricted range used to cost more than $100. Upon pressing the buzzer Our experience shows that most dogs pick up new skills after only one or two shocks, therefore our dog comes back right after. For those who consider it harsh, consider how little it is in comparison to your pet being struck by a vehicle or upsetting your neighbor.

    Excellent quality collar for training. I worked with my German Short Haired Pointer, who is 10 months old, using it. They may be crazy at that age, if you know anything about the bread. I managed to acclimate her to the vibration and beeps in only a few minutes. Before the neighbor's cat appeared, I never really needed to utilize the shock mode (the jolt stopped her dead in her tracks). It's simple to use the remote. Even up to a half-mile away, the remote works nicely. The collar has good electrode selections and is simple to charge. All in all, well worth every penny.

It also stops charging now. After the first charge, nothing happens. A pitiful use of funds for such a low-quality product.

    In a single weekend, my dog's demeanor changed from outside threat to well-mannered. And in the month that I've had this collar, he hasn't even once been startled. The sound is sufficient to deter him from acting inappropriately. This device has saved my life. I cannot suggest this highly enough for dogs in need of immediate training.
