    The glass is fairly thick and sturdy as long as you listen to the instructions and don't over tighten. I thought maybe Hershey's Kisses would work but it turned out terrible ??. So I tried regular milk m&m's and peanut m&m's and both fit. Just like the gumball machine there is always a quarter that gets stuck in the machine. The first time I put one in I didn't hear it fall out until I put in the second quarter and I heard the first one fall out. Be careful because the weight of the candy is on the top so the weight is not balanced when getting the coins. I should have bought one with a stand to be honest.

    I used it as a classroom incentive and I put folded paper in it with the prize written on it. However, the hole it goes through is very small so the paper wouldn't fit in. I thought about capsules but the ones I saw were still too big for the holes. I tried folding a post-it note into a small piece and it fit.

    The kids enjoyed seeing the machine and were excited to get their prizes. It's sturdy and a little heavy but well worth it!

    Just wanted a way to share chocolate beans in a clean way. Not everyone who visits the office has good hygiene practices. By using a candy machine the candy stays clean. The dispenser, handles, etc. can also be washed. Helps everyone who visits to enjoy candy without having to worry about germs like people have in years past.
    One thing that could be improved is to allow for larger dispenses. For the Peanut M&M's, even with the dispense set as large as possible, it only came out 1 at a time. Still, that wasn't too bad. People just kept trying a few more times.

    I love this little gumball machine. I've been going through this for a while now. Wanted to make sure it works well before reviewing.

    Personally, I use M&M's. Peanuts are the biggest (see pic). It dispenses some which is good for me. I'm currently watching my calorie intake and this is an easy way to get "dessert" without overeating. I don't bring any other candy into my house. It does allow you to use any coins but I told myself "if you don't have a quarter, it's not happening" haha.

    Spray painted mine green. It was so easy to paint. I highly recommend this! I would suggest, be gentle when filling it. It is glass after all.

Some of the parts inside the coin mechanism also appear to be plastic instead of metal like my carousel. I do have an older carousel machine and maybe they don't make them with all metal parts anymore? Regardless, the coin mechanism does work well. Should provide years of enjoyment.

    Any coin will work so the pennies come in handy lol.

    The dome is glass and looks thick but still be careful.

    I recommend it as a great gift for kids.

    These are great old heavy duty machines.. my kids are so happy to have them.. we opened them up and the globe on one had broken and bent metal.. I contacted support but got it fixed... the one that didn't break was awesome and works fine.. but don't expect any if you need customer service.

Also, all the internal parts are plastic and I had to open the internals and adjust them right after receiving it to get it to work.

The second time the kids turned it over and tried to get the coins out and it broke. Wish there was a way to buy just the glass so we didn't have to replace the whole thing or the glass needs to be a little sturdier.

My second child tried to get the gumball but when she tried to turn the knob the coin got stuck. I had to empty it and take it all apart to get the stuck coin out. When it was put back together it worked once again and then the next coin got stuck. Definitely not worth the money as it doesn't actually work. My kids have always wanted a gumball machine so they were excited to get this but were quickly disappointed that it didn't work. Would not recommend purchasing.

    The listing does not clearly state that it requires candy that is off the standard. It is important for the buyer to know this as it does not include the proper size candy.

    The machine works great. But I am very annoyed that my time and money were wasted due to insufficient information.

    I love these little machines! I bought one in March and just bought my second one today (August). I use them as rewards for my kids and they think it's hilarious. I plan on getting another one in the near future to get more variety! I put the candy corn in the new ones and sometimes it gets stuck because of the shape and softness of the candy...but not too often. I still love the machine!

    So far it has accepted any size coin...coins come out easily. The second one I bought was a little wonky but not enough for me to exchange. I love that it is made of glass. Feels a lot more solid. $20 is a good deal for this little machine.

The bowl itself should be made of acrylic or at least plastic. Not sure how we can find a replacement for it.

    If you want to take the coin feature off, it will slide and you do need to fix it, but other than that it serves its intended purpose. My boyfriend loves it. It's small enough to be a desk decoration, and he doesn't need to fill it often since he's the only one using it. The machine also accepts multiple types of candy, but be warned that it does dispense a lot if the candy is small. So, work your way up.

It's not expensive, though, so it's easy to replace. However, neither the packaging nor the instructions say what size gumballs this machine takes. Don't order anything over 0.62 inches, or you'll be stuck with a pound or more of too-large gumballs. The mouth at the bottom can accommodate one-inch gumballs, but the hole inside isn't that big.

    This is a nice and heavy duty gumball machine. It has a built in "feature" that allows the machine to accept all coins. This may be fine for most people, but if you are looking for a commercial grade machine, this is not it. This machine can hold a lot of gum, or in my case, Peanut M&M's (the 38 oz party size bag barely holds them). For the price you pay, you get a lot of value. I think this would be a great addition for those who really crave a home candy machine.

    I bought this gumball machine for my daughter's 6th birthday. She and my 9 year old loved it. It was definitely the hottest of all the presents she opened. Sadly, on the 31st day (one day past the return window of course), we gently angled the machine and let a coin fall through the bottom and the glass ball shattered. We barely moved it! I tried contacting the company but they were of no help. They just told me where I could get a new one. What a waste of $40. Turned out to be a very disappointing birthday present!

    Bought this as a gift for my son and was very impressed with the quality. I've found many products that have thousands of overly positive reviews on recently only to arrive to find very poor quality. Not sure what happened. But this time, although it took a little longer to arrive due to the Christmas rush, it was definitely worth the wait. The quality of the gumball machine is there for all to see. Solid metal and solid glass with instructions on how to configure it to accept money or operate without coins. My son was really excited about it and even I enjoyed it.

    Update:
    I have no idea what happened. They either sent a plastic version first or they sent me the real thing when I complained. Whatever happened, I am happy with the end result. Exactly as described. Love it.

    This one worked. The first time I filled it we put in a quarter and it gave out skittles.

    After that the knob either wouldn't turn at all or barely turned but didn't dispense any candy. So I emptied and disassembled it thinking maybe there was broken candy stuck somewhere in the gears. Nope. Even completely disassembled the knob would barely turn and once I put the dispensing plate back it wouldn't turn at all.

    Very disappointed with this product and will be asking for a replacement or refund.

I put more gum balls in it (this is the second time we've added gum balls) and noticed this crack. It sits on a high shelf and only falls when the kids get to it, so it definitely doesn't get played with. Or maybe it's just a decoration? What's the point if it can't stand up to even moderate use? It does look pretty, but I won't be ordering another one.

    I brought it as a decoration and it's so cute and have seen the bleeding and then followed the video through YouTube to operate it without coins, I also tried using it with skittles, Mike and Ike, I don't recommend this, it made a mess and caused a lot of problems. So it's best to choose round candies or one type of candy otherwise it will get stuck in the rotor and pile up and come in a box, but the size is pretty standard. Saw other machines say the glass breaks easily but this is not the case, very sturdy and solid

    I really like this brand and this list, I find it's not as expensive as some of the other lists (although it is a bit pricey) and the quantity per list is huge, I have to say the flavor is just classic, pretty much what you would expect it to taste like but still very tasty and sweet. I would say you get your money's worth and it's a very good and reliable product.

    This tastes just like the fair! I like the pink and my girls like the blue. I was very surprised how much it tasted just like the expensive cotton candy. Never have to pay $10 for a bag of cotton candy again. I liked it so much I bought the banana flavor from this brand.

    I used this floss candy instead of regular sugar and got marshmallow flavored cookies. The sugar gave the cookies a great color and I didn't use any dye. The pink vanilla sugar was nice but didn't have a strong marshmallow flavor but the blue one did. The cookies turned out great and the kids loved them.

    Not close to expiration date but a little older than I would like.
    Since it's shelf stable I'm not too worried.
    Hope to get a marshmallow machine to try this out. But works for other recipes :)
