    I will give it a 3.5/5 instead of 4. I used the brush on low maintenance domestic short hair that doesn't like spa days< Advantages: Although the bristles look scary, the tips are actually very soft and elastic, much rougher than metal bristles< Easy to grip, can be held and brushed in any direction according to the cat's peristalsis (for me, very!) - removes a lot of fur, but not enough to knit an ugly winter sweater for oneself.

    Disadvantages:
    - Flying!! It's annoying. Under no circumstances should food be placed in an open area near the brush in use, otherwise the hair ball will get stuck in the throat.

    I think the "rake style" metal brush is slightly more effective, but my cat prefers this brush over some of the other brushes I've tried.
