    It was performing well, and our dog seemed to be reacting favorably to it. Before I removed it from her the other day, it was seeping a liquid that burned my palm. Which helps to explain why, after sitting on the table close to one other, our remote and the collar have these strange burn marks. I'm not sure whether the item I received was defective. although after it burnt me, I didn't put it back on my dog.

    Just a little over a month later, this device chose to quit functioning correctly and doesn't remain paired, which coincidentally happened after the return window ended. It was doing well for the owner and dog training, but what a letdown. It no longer functions.

    The dog is not affected by shock levels up to 99. I tried it on myself, and it doesn't shock me enough to be uncomfortable.

    I've tried tightening the collar and switching to longer prongs. Shock is still ineffective. Letdown
