    I like this concept, but the mat is just a white translucent fabric that displays the color underneath when wet. The disappearing 'magical' ink is the dry pad. I had hoped it would be more durable because the mat was designed for young children and could be used on the floor, but the fabric grade was low enough that I didn't want to wash the mat. The white part is also easy to get dirty because it is a polyester blend. This fabric reminds me of those reusable grocery store tote bags (non plastic tote bags). I think $22 is okay, but I don't expect it to be for long.

    I bought this for my three-year-old daughter as a fun way to practice painting and writing. She likes it, and it does run well as expected. The problem I encountered was that after about a week, using it for about an hour every day, there were some areas where the top layer was worn and the color below appeared. She only used it when I was sitting with her, so this is normal use. I like this product, I just hope the quality is better.

My daughter took on most of the responsibility alone< Do not wash with water! We had a slight overflow above, so I threw it into the cold rinse cycle for washing. Now, half of the cushion has permanently turned yellow/orange, and you cannot determine if you have drawn on it. Really, terrible quality!! I am shocked by the high ratings
