    I purchased this product last summer (2022), so I am now able to provide a realistic review of its actual content. Although it is an insulation product, it is not a "foil" surface - at least not the definition of "foil" that most people believe< I have a small tool/storage shed where I store a pressurized propane tank. Although the water tank can easily cope with the high summer temperatures deep in the south in a closed structure, I want to apply it to the top of an open canopy to help transfer some heat (and lower the internal temperature). Result: It worked. The temperature dropped by 20 degrees (F). However, as time passed, I noticed that the product was not suitable for exposure to the external environment. It can't stand on its feet< Within 6 months, I easily observed cracking, and by 8 months, it began to peel and peel off - that's when I noticed the truth and fact of his product - it wasn't aluminum foil. By using 'aluminum foil', it implies that it is some kind of aluminum or metallic substance that can resist elements. no The surface is just a very thin 'plastic', painted silver to create a misleading appearance that it is some kind of metal, such as aluminum. My neighbor accurately described 'painted bubble wrap'< Wait, there are more. You will at least think, 'Well, even if the outer surface of the insulation material peels off, at least you will have some bubble insulation material, which will help protect what you are wrapping around it, right? Once the painted plastic surface peels off from the middle insulation part, the insulation part will deflate. It becomes lifeless and even no longer provides insulation value.' So, what is the solution to this problem? After you apply this product, the only thing I can think of is it, and then you have to walk behind it and apply a thin sheet or 'real' aluminum foil - to get a thicker restaurant grade than what you buy and cook in the oven. '. If you purchase from the restaurant supply, you will find it much cheaper. Yes, you must obtain a roll of adhesive aluminum foil tape (used to seal HVAC duct systems) to connect each layer/row of aluminum foil< If you don't follow my advice, this product won't last. Unless you can find similar products made of real aluminum foil. In addition, beware of the so-called "aluminum foil surface" hard foam boards in Lowe's and Home Depot. The same issue - this is not real aluminum foil on the surface of the board, but just silver painted paper. Ensure that what you are purchasing is actually aluminum foil on the surface. Good luck!

    In recent years, due to the hot summer weather, our rooms have always been overheated in the afternoon. I cut a roll into pieces and hung it on the window to protect the plants on the windowsill from sunlight/heat. It actually helps keep the room cool and also helps maintain the efficiency of the air conditioning. Cheap and effective; Who doesn't like it?
